Chapter Philanthropy and Service
Breast Cancer Awareness and Education is Zeta Tau Alpha’s national philanthropy and as Eta Upsilon, we strive to support and do our part as much as possible. We are so thankful to have Sara Benson as our Philanthropy Chairman leading us to our greatest potential. Sara has been a part of so many wonderful moments and impacts that as Zeta, we have created. She helps us host various events, raise money and help others become aware.
During the year, we host a few "Pink Out" games at sporting events. At these Pink Out games we sell various items such as t-shirts and cupcakes and we do face paintings where all the money will then be donated in support. We also arrange a week called “Pink Week,” and during this we set up a table where people can donate money, receive a Breast Cancer Ribbon, and talk to us to learn more about our philanthropy. One of our biggest events that we host is Big Man on Campus which is a male beauty pageant that students or people of the community pay to attend and all money also raised there is donated. Outside of these school activities, we also do monthly community service and girls will run in support and to raise money in the Race for the Cure. As Zeta, we are trying to do everything we can to help others become more informed about Breast Cancer and what they can also do to help.
